Q. What is Perkiomen Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is a fundraising event taking place from midnight to 11:59 PM EST on February 9, 2023. 

In those 24 hours, the entire Perkiomen School community – alumni, families, faculty, staff, students, and friends – come together to support academics, arts, athletics, and student life. Perkiomen is grateful for gifts of any amount on this day. Together, the Perkiomen community can support our students as they risk becoming their best. 


Q. When is Perkiomen Day of Giving? What is our goal?

Perkiomen Day of Giving is on February 9, 2023 from midnight to 11:59 PM.

This year, our goal is to raise $35,000 in 24 hours! Day of Giving continues to bolster the efforts of Our Moment to Lead, A Campaign for Perkiomen School, which includes expanding the annual fund to fuel investments in people, curricula, programs, and facilities.


Q. Who can donate?

Everyone is invited to participate. Gifts of every size are appreciated. Donations through the Perkiomen Day of Giving online portal will be received and receipted by GiveGab. These donations are tax-deductible and cannot be refunded. 


Q. If I live internationally, can I still participate and make a gift?

Yes. The Perkiomen Day of Giving brings together our entire School community from across the globe. You may make your gift at dayofgiving.perkiomen.org. If you prefer to give via wire transfer, please visit us here. Making a gift through our international transaction form will count toward the Day of Giving totals.


Q. How do I make my Perkiomen Day of Giving gift?

Online (preferred):
The best way to ensure your gift is counted toward our goal is to give online at: dayofgiving.perkiomen.org on Tuesday, February 9 from 12 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. EST. The minimum amount of an online gift via GiveGab is $25.

Phone:
Contact Director of the Perkiomen Fund Shauna Betof P '25, '27 at 267-227-2962 to make a gift over the phone using your credit card.

Please make checks payable to “Perkiomen School” and include “Day of Giving” on the memo line to ensure your gift will be counted in our Perkiomen Day of Giving totals. Gifts with no designation will go toward the Perkiomen Fund, our area of greatest need.



Q. Which payment methods are accepted?

Cash, checks, and credit card gifts are accepted on Perkiomen Day of Giving. Types of credit cards accepted: Visa, American Express, Discover, and MasterCard. The minimum amount  of an online gift via GiveGab is $25.

Gifts may also be made by wire transfer and appreciated securities.

If you are a Pennsylvania resident and have a tax liability of $3,500 or more, you may qualify for up to a 90% tax credit by giving to the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC). To learn more about EITC, click here and contact Director of the Perkiomen Fund Shauna Betof P '25, '27 to get started. The application only takes 15 minutes and opens infinite opportunities for our students.


Q. How much of my donation goes to Perkiomen School?

For each online donation, a platform fee of 3.5% and a processing fee of 2.5% + $0.30 will be applied. If you would like 100% of your donation to go to Perkiomen, donors have the option to cover these fees on behalf of the School on the final step of the donation flow.


Q. Can I make donations via a mobile device?

Absolutely - visit dayofgiving.perkiomen.org on your mobile device.


Q. Will my gift be tax-deductible?

Yes. If you make your gift online, an e-receipt will be automatically emailed to the email address you provide. If you make your gift via phone or mail, we will send an acknowledgement letter to your mailing address.


Q. What are some ways to maximize my gift?

Great question! Below are three easy ways you can maximize your gift.

  1. Participate in challenge gifts or by making a gift to a specific area of the Perkiomen Fund and unlock extra dollars from leadership donors. Visit the challenge gifts page to view a complete list of challenges. *Please note this page is will not be live until late January.
  2. Share that you've made your gift on social media, use the hashtag #PerkGives, and encourage your friends to make a gift to Day of Giving.
  3. Take advantage of your company's matching gift program when you donate on February 9.

Q. Can I pre-schedule a donation for Perkiomen Day of Giving?

Traveling on February 9? Is there a chance you might forget about the event on the day of? Or are you just super excited to support Perkiomen School right now?

While you cannot pre-set your Perkiomen Day of Giving gift on the GiveGab donation form, we appreciate your eagerness to support our school community. Here are two options to make sure your gift counts towards fundraising totals:

  1. Call the Office of Alumni and Development at 215-679-1127 to request a gift to be made on the day of the event.
  2. Participate in the Early Bird Special challenge gift starting at 5 p.m. EST on February 6, 2023. Participation in this challenge gift will count towards overall fundraising goals and unlock an additional gift!

Q. What are challenge gifts?

Your participation has an even bigger impact thanks to a handful of generous supporters who have offered challenge gifts to be “unlocked” as we pass important giving milestones!  Check back for updates throughout the event. *Please note this page will not be live until late January.


Q. In addition to giving, how can I help Perkiomen Day of Giving be a success?

Q. Can I still make a gift after Day of Giving?

Though the Perkiomen Day of Giving 2023 ends at midnight on February 9, it’s never too late to give. You can still make a gift any time. It’s your impact and participation that matters most – and you’ll be making a meaningful one. The funding year ends on June 30, 2023.
